Folling wonka's pioneering footsteps, here's a set of before and after pics of my room
I was combing through my room searching for... stuff... and I ended up like this.
My mum came in and nearly screamed her head off telling me to tidy up.
*hyper cleaning mode activated*
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzching!
5 minutes later...
All clean and shining some more. It's not because I turned on flash for my camera okay? I'm serious!
Bleh. The you-know-whats are looming, and I am in no mood to study. One redeeming factor is that I finally got all my notes and stuff organized to mug... except that I'm still stuck at the cup.
Ah well.
To all the world cup fans, happy watching the matches. To everyone else, happy watching something else.

After over ten years of loyal servitude, the wooden bed frame that has kept me company all those lonely nights has passed on...and I wasn't even at its side during its last few moments T_T
As you all know, for the earlier part of last week, the brotherhood was involved with the Ares camp, so I was absent from home. When the camp ended, and after a short interlude, I once again set off for another three day stint at bowling camp/chalet/gambling den. My bed frame was still in one piece before I left, and I expected to return to still see it as such.
Fate had other plans though.
Apparently, just after a day I had left, three of my younger cousins dropped by for a house call. Seeing that I was not around and my room was practically open for public use, they decided to jump around in it.
My grandma told them not to, since the floor is hard and they might fall and break something.
Floor. Hard. Bed. Soft. Eureka!
My brother joined in the fray soon enough, and as the four bounced to their hearts content, disaster struck.
Somewhere in Sentosa, my friends thought I was delirious, for I swore I heard an epic roar of thunder.
Splinters flew everywhere as the bed frame snapped in two under the weight of four children jumping on it. There was a dull thud as the mattress fell to the floor, saving the children from harm. However, the damage was already done: my trusted companion of the night lay broken and beyond saving.
I had not known its demise until I returned on Sunday. By then, the crime scene had already been cleared of all evidence. All hopes of trying the culprits for murder have been dashed, but oh how I wept! My room now is barren beyond what mere words could describe, and I doubt any other bed frame can fill the empty void that exists now in my very being, even if its the Great Singapore Sale right now and everything is on discount. Curse you energetic but senseless adolescents! I will have my revenge!
The memorial service will be held when the garbage man comes. Those of you who can take the time off from your busy scehdules to come down please do so.
Everyone, please cherish the time you spend with your bed. You never know what tomorrow will bring, and one day, they may just disappear without you knowing.

guobin says:
Camp. Possibly one of the best experiences in my life, yet at the same time there were things that sucked about it. But, no regrets.
First off. It wasn't a very physical camp. Rather, it was filled with climbing and rafting and stuff, all in a very small area. We didn't even raft for more than 10 minutes? No trekking or anything. In fact, the only thing tiring about it was staying up till 3 am to talk with Jeriel at the beach. All of you guys/girls should have gone. Would have made it more fun. Seeing Tammy's class get high to the extent that they started playing pepsi cola at 3am in the morning gave me a kinda jolt at what we were missing. :(
Secondly, thanks to the brotherhood for pulling through. Jianyang, Yeekai, Guo Bin, Ruiyi, Junhong, Fuji, Jeriel, Karweng. Brotherhood.
So we met with the rest of the 6.40 group and got ready to board the bus to PUNGGOL. Before we left Ruiyi wanted to grab the spare guitar that had been left lying around for some time, but I kinda dissuaded him (partially because I didn't want to end up walking around with a stolen guitar on my back). After a bus ride down to Marina Country Club ("I owned this river during wakeboarding"-Jianyang)we took a mega-slow ferry to Pulau Ubin. We clambered onto the island and then gathered at the conference room, where they told us about the camp and the rules.
Instructor: "RULE 9: NO SWEARING!" Someone: "What the F***?"
Guess we pretty much smashed that rule to bits :) And apparently there were 3 man-sized fish in the lagoon there, some man-made giant pond. Arrowpanas or something. Ruiyi saw the head and realised it was bigger than HIS head and body combined, and that it was "white and mother ugly". I only caught the ripples it made as it swam through the water.
Anyway they had to split us up into groups, so the A13 guys had to join the 8.40 group. Seeing as only 8 guys were present, they joined us up with Cassandra's class (insane janitor)to form Group 3, or "Tiga". We got a shitty instructor though. Horny bastard. I won't waste my words on him. So we went for our first activity- the rock wall and abseiling. A13 guys had to do abseiling first, so I, Ruiyi, Jianyang and Yeekai went up this mega high tower. Yeekai and I did the abseiling first. After the part where you lean backwards into the beyond (which was kinda scary, but well)it was pretty easy. This is where we got the first hint of Jun Hong being kinda scared of heights. He started climbing the tower, but then his face suddenly turned green as he reached the top. Yet, this boy had balls of steel and bravery unmatched- he still did the abseiling as though nothing was wrong. Then we did rock climbing, which was as per usual la. Except Ruiyi didn't really tighten his harness, so the fucker of an instructor banned him from it. Sheesh man.
Then we finished up and had lunch, which was a welcome affair.
After lunch we had the rafting thing in the lagoon. Our raft was like super secure, because of Jianyang and Siowyi- super rope tie-ers. But no matter how secure it was, King Lam still managed to destroy it on the return trip. Lol King Lam destroys everything- in the end he ended up half sitting on a barrel which forced its way up, like some kinda throne. Ruiyi's raft dismantled itself halfway in the water, LOL. Ah but we helped each other to get it dismantled so we could chiong to jetty jump. Jetty Jump was damn fun, except I kinda forgot to cross my legs and so I slammed into the water from that high scaffold in a very painful way. Ouch. But again, kudos to Bruce Lee Jun Hong Balls Of Steel Loh for overcoming his fears and making the jump! heh. He is seriously brave. Ran back with the lifejackets that doubled up as chest protectors (everyone was punching each other in the chest for random reasons)that seriously weighed us down.
to be continued later tonight

alrite, i shall PUT up some photos for u guys to picture what guobin is saying. btw, i coped these photos from 06s65. I thought they were quite well taken. esp the Team Challenge Pyramid.

The Rock climbing place. It's like halo! We took the intermediate level while others took the beginner one loh. We so pro right :). Haaa, i din even manage to get pass the 2nd square. Our deputy fachead aka JIAN YANG is the most zai one! 8th square lah! It's not easy kay.

The ultimate challenge (*cough* i read up and i realised that the tower is 25m tall!!! We r zai, period). We need to overcome 11 obstacles man! However, we were rewarded with a chance to get onto the flying fox. Serious, how can any of u miss it. It was really once in a lifetime. ok, i am starting to miss tt shuang feeling when u "fly" down.

TRACEE SAYS:
Hey 06a13! I was surfing around some blogs that belonged to other classes. And somehow, I just felt so thankful to be in the class that I'm right now.
I've read for myself about some the issues that certain classes face: (a) A severe lack of class spirit (b) The whole class is filled with diehard muggers (c) Problems integrating the 1st and 2nd intake (d) Loads of internal conflict (e) Being extremely clique-ish
I can safely say that we don't really have such problems.
The people from the Russian trip were telling me how grateful they were to be in our class... And now I can't help but agree with what they said.
All of us are very different in our own special ways, and believe me, I kind of like the way that we manage to click together despite our differences. To me, that's all that matters.
It doesn't matter if we're not a RAH-RAH ULTRA BONDED SUPER ENTHU sort of class. But this is a class where I know I'm comfortable in, and I know I've found friends whom I can share my joy and sorrow with.
My point of this entry is - THANK YOU 06A13! I love you guys loads.
I couldn't have asked for a better class, really.

Jerryale says:
Today happens to be one of the most memorable days of my life. In essense, it can be summed up by 2 words. Or one. if you add a hypen - which is grammatically sound. The word is: window-breaking. Yes. Window breaking.
I was on my way to the rugby field for training when my anxious foot connected with the rugby ball in my hands. The resultant reaction (according to Newton's third law or something)was the breaking of a couple of window panes that divide the staircases in Block A along the middle.
You know, whenever you walk up the stairs and just before you change direction and attack the next flight of stairs? Yes. Those windows.
Ok so back to the story. So yes, the windows broke. And what makes the act of window breaking such a memorable one? Of course, the sound. The shattering sound of the window panes was so loud and shrill, that all the classes that were conducted in the premises probably stopped. At least i knew i disrupted the wushu training session.
Off the tangent a little; I was actually kicking the ball, unknowingly of course, in front of the whole wushu team at the inner plaza. They were doing some stretching or PT or something when the floating ball connected with the panes. In that moment - a moment that to me had that dream-like, slow-mo quality to it - their training was interupted by the sound of shimmering, silvery, yet still shattered, glass (pardon the aliteration).
I was like stunned. It wasn't a 1 second or 2 second thing. It was like a long while. Of course, that was before I realized the incredulous nature of what i had done. And the consequences should I be reported/caught/sent to jail. That was when time begun moving again - at an unforgiving speed, as if to make up for the slow-mo experience before.
There I was, right foot wearing a soccer boot, left leg bare, running to the class benches amidst the silent stares of the wushu troupe (and probably a few fingers which say like "hey! i noe that guy!"). Grabbing my bagpack, my half unzipped shoebag, one sandal and one running shoe hand in hand (and probably looking like some hermit while i was at it), I begun planning my escape. Yes. But what would be an escape without ridding the crime scene of the evidence? Naturally, the criminal in me grabbed the incriminating yellow ball too. And off I ran like never had i before, towards the high school field. To kick some more. Sigh. My addiction with kicking.
So like two hours, a meal heavier, and a few more kicks later, I decided to accompany a friend back for his interview. And yes, retribution. I was caught by an estate officer who promptly called three other colleagues down to inspect the crime scene. Probably they just found out about the broken windows. Four guys to inspect broken windows. Yes. Following which I was personally escorted to the admin office to fill in an administrative form titled "Incident Report".
But that is another story for another day. A story which I fear may bore you if I indulge in my senseless rhetoric (yes I was trying to persuade you that I was somewhat innocent. Hey, it was unintentional ok.)
In conclusion (albeit a lousy and abrupt one), Jerryale signing off. Hope you guys have fun during the hols. And try not to succumb to the temptation of ball kicking yea?
