Hello guys hope your holidays have been fruitful and all thus far! Anw here're some updates on the class chalet thing.

Coasta sands actually has space for the whole of january so its a good thing however there are constrictions because of the guys NS enlistment thingey and those who are working as well. Also, some people may not be available because they're going overseas.

In view of such, there are two possible options:

1. 3D2N Chalet and booking 2 rooms (1 guys 1 girls for sleeping if any)

Friday 4th Jan and ending on Sunday 6th Jan.
Bbq will be on the first night (cost of $6)
$99 per room per night

One thing good abt this is that those people working shoud be able to turn up. However, some people may have to go to Church. Also, Olivia and Karweng may be overseas during this period.

2. 2D1N Chalet, booking 2 rooms like above.

Any preference? Must be between 6th Jan and 8th Jan.
Coasta Sands (Sentosa) will be available for booking so = got things to do nice.
Air-con Hut at $32 per room per night; Superior Room at $70 per room per night
BBq on first and only night (cost of $5)

This arrangement might be problematic for the people who are working. However oli karweng will be able to make it. Shdn't be a problem for those that have to go to Church.

Hello guys,

for those who weren't online, we had this msn conversation that agreed that we should make our lit revision easier by splitting the work. With regard to the lit comparison of themes.

Here's what we are going to do:

1. Each person will be in charge of the comparison of ONE theme across all 3 texts.

2. Each person will then do a thorough job of comparing and fill up the template that is attached in this email.

3. The template will require you to come up with 4 broad topic sentences/points of comparison for each theme and the relevant quotes/dramatic method from each text. It would be good to follow the template: One topic sentence per page, include page numbers for reference, type the beginning and end of the quote!
4. If the topic sentence/point of comparison does not apply to one particular text, simply put 'NA' in the column.

5. It would be good to have some added elaboration about the quote(s) if you have the time.

6. If you can't come up with 4 different points of comparison for your theme, it's okay. But try to make the point of comparison specific! Like what does it say about the nature of that theme.

I have randomly allocated themes for each person. If you are not keen on doing this, please give me a sms.

Those who are reading this pls tell everyone else from the class to read also or pass on the message.

I've called the shirt printer (he's called Max if u wanna know). Here's a rough break-down of the costs:

Shirt - $5 (CHEAP! i nearly went wtf on the phone)
Print (per colour and per side... i think) - $4
Embroidery - $6

Why do we need embroidery? Well, I was thinking we standardized the personalized bit of the shirts (the horrible, horrible oxymoron...) and have our names/aliases sewed beneath the fold of the left collar of the polo shirt (tell me if you can't locate this place and I'll point it out to you). Why the place? One day if you find yourself with only your junior college class tee in your wardrobe and you're broke and have an important engagement later that day, you won't think it's too tacky to put on.

Other than that, I guess everything else is ffa. Which is where you guys comes in:

Have a great idea in mind for the design? Wanna exercise your long forgotten creative juices? Then download the two pictures above and start drawing! A little bit of inspiration for those who are mugging for lit... or not.

Just a random suggestion for our class shirt (or is it a jacket?). We could use the collage tracee made below for the back print and then circle our own solo shot to show who we are (maybe add in our names somewhere also). Then have "06A13" printed in front (suggestions for designs anyone?) along with some catch-phrase? Saves our AEP guys from all the headache and accusatory fingers...

Since I am bored and influenced by ggb:

School is a konstant in life. I have my kompany of friends there. What a kontrast to my boring mundane life. Although I get korrected by my teachers and friends, I still think they are as sweet as karamel. I think many people in my class bear unkanny resemblances to one another. People in my klass are kordial; there's a korrelation between height and friendliness. Yesterday my friend ggb kornered me to kajiao me. The girls in my klass are klassy, and the guys hum katchy tunes. We always take kandid pictures with tracee's kamera. People are unkomplicated, and kompliment each other's hairstyles. We komply with school regulations largely and each of us is a vital komponent to 06A13. We always have a problem with komposing ourselves in class due to too much fun and joy and laughter. We love Koleridge's Konversation Poems. Our teachers have taught us komprehensively, but sometimes they kompress our brains with too much knowledge. We have to study nonsense like komparative advantage. We engage in friendly kompetition, and we display great kompetance in our schoolwork. We always smoke but sound konvincing in presentations. We always help each other out by kompiling our model essays, and we always komplain about lousy canteen food. Since our kompletion of our days in HCI are almost over, I bid all my kompatriots "good luck" with such a kompelling case that can only be attributed to QM Lee, matraich of all the kommoners.

monday - anytime in the afternoon to 1. go national library study together. 2. find good food (lunch out of school) 3. movies/chilling session in school library, school.

class blog abit dead so i shall update you all with the grand amazing plan yingtse and i drew up today during econs lecture while we were so hungry and deciding what to eat. and our nice amazing plan has been endorsed by so many classmates we shared our vision to. we want to lobby our councillors for the following new canteen stalls by the end of the year! transforming hc into a food hub. yeekai do something!

HC Utopian Canteen

1. drink stall - with gassy drinks and milkshakes

in lieu of the fact that the school canteen might be a bit too small for the stalls we proposed, we have drawn up 3 blueprints for canteen extension. you can take a look at the back of my econs notes when the moment of genius was inspired.

Plan A

we will be removing all the seats in all the lecture theatres, replacing them with terrace dining. yingtse will be the architect in charge of this.

Plan B

We will be replacing the whole track with a grand outdoor alfresco dining experience. sushi conveyor belts will be set up with a vineyard in the background to cultivate our own wine. and small little doughnut factory and benandjerry's stalls will line the background of this alfresco dining place. we shall abolish the annual CSM, and replace it with a competition to see which stall can give the most number of free meals on that day. in addition, cip and cca points shall be combined when performing arts groups serenade diners. cs session will be replaced by students helping out with the preparation of the food. exciting right!

Plan C

canteen extension project. we will be extending our canteen into the netball courts and abolish netball as a sport to accomodate our new canteen wing. more stalls can be set up. in addition, kfc and more stalls will sprout up at the grass patch in front of our class bench because yingtse likes cheese fries at her doorstep. other than our class bench, the whole entire wing and the other wing will be converted into stalls. also, the central plaza will be converted into a street bazaar where about 45 stalls will be set up.

Hey guys,

gosh this is my first post since blogger did some amendments to the blogging procedure.

not sure how many of you drop by the blog anymore, but anyhow, prelims are drawing near (not forgeting mock prelims) and i guess all of you guys are studying really really hard, or at least are planning to.

but hey hang in there yea! a few initiatives to look out for:

1. weekly bonding sessions. i'll pass a sheet of paper around tmr to finalize when that day will be. it doesn't necessarily have to long, not is it obligatory to attend. but i would like to treasure the time left with the class. hope y'all do too yea. +, we could always mug over a cup of coffee together, like ask questions we're unsure about, update each other on mugging status and all.

2. the history people will be starting a free trade program w.r.t. essay planning and outlines. hope the geoggers have something going on too. i guess we can really improve our consumption (oops did i say consumption i meant grade) possibilities if we work together. the old adage about more heads thinking better than one definitely has some degree of truth in it.

3. of course, not forgetting that with so many things to juggle, there may be a tendency to forget what we really have to do. as in deadlines, homework, and the daily routines. as such, perhaps it would be wise to have a (or resume, in light of our attempts early last year) to have a 'to-do list' for each day.

Alright then, hope you guys respond positively to these suggestions, and all the best for mugging! take it slow and steady yea!

It's the last week of term 2 coming right up. Let's try to enjoy this week without tests. (URGH) And sorta look forward to the holidays! (: Class chalet and hopefully some more fun amidst all the studying that will come.

I just realised recently that we only have a few months left with each other. As strange as it sounds, I think we really gotta cherish this time that we're still in school together. Or else we'll regret it when our J2 life comes to an end.

Sup guys. The class fund's running a deficit (again) so I'll need to collect money from you all. Some equity issues to settle though:

The geog department's been killing too many trees this year (the irony). The total amount paid to the photocopying shop and other miscellaneous fees comes to around $100. That's about $11 per geoger.

History on the other hand has a bill of $50, and there are more people in our class taking the subject. So it's $4 per historier.

AEPers haven't claimed any money from me. That's $0.

And so in the grand scheme of things, pls bring $15 for class fund tmr (or asap or whatever). History people can minus $7 from that. wonka and shum $11.

Geogers still owe the photocopying shop $40++. Pay kenneth pls.

Hey everyone.

I'm here to sorta convey a message. I met cookie dearest on the MRT today and we were talking about stuff, especially about the class. She heard that lemon tea spoke to us.

She told me some things that shocked me.

1. Our missing in action from Gun Powerpoint lesson on Fri the 3rd is a much bigger incident than we think. President Bush thinks that it was a conspiracy and that we delibrately skipped her lesson. Something along those lines. And apparently, we are sort of being investigated for our actions by the school.

2. Almost all our tutors have some issues with us. I was shocked to find that the Jinglejangle teacher has complaints too. (Unlike what she told us.) From what cookie dearest told me, I get the feeling that all our tutors think we have a terrible attitude.

Okay, I must admit that I must take the responsibility for the Gun Powerpoint incident because it was definitely because of my failure to clarify things that led to this misunderstanding. I'm sorry for getting the whole class into trouble.

The good point though, is that cookie dearest thinks that our attitudes have improved since last year. (: And she thinks that we are fine in her class.

Well, and she also told me the general complaints from our subject tutors:
- We are way too passive during tutorials.
- We give them 'black face'. (I guess that's how they interpret our sian/tired expressions.)

Cookie dearest suggested that we write an apology card to President Bush about the Gun Powerpoint incident and sorta sign our names on the card as a class. (She says that's the best way to get back on good terms with any tutor.) If that's okay with you all, I will get the card ready by Monday.

And I guess another practical action that we can all take is to... smile more and be active participants during lessons.

It's kinda sad how we're being so misunderstood though.

The owning fac dance! =)) Was watching from 3rd storey and taking pictures. I think in terms of mass participation, we owned the rest although Artemis was super loudd during their cheer. We also owned for sychronisation and the shoutings(we shouted from 3rd-storey too!)! The whole dance was amazing and I'm so glad we owned this.The owning fac dance II!

dear a13,
i've always hated farwells because they are really depressing. But to quote Shakespeare, "Parting is such sweet sorrow", today i am more thankful that i've known all of you than i am sad that i am leaving. Believe me when i say being in this class is one of the greatest thing that happened to me in Hwachong. tomorrow all of you will be missing just one of your classmates, but i, will be missing 24 of mine. i guess you can never know how much you will miss a person(or in this case,24 people) until you're really gone.so all i can say now is thank you for the 10 months of great fun in the class.

hey school's reopening tomorrow! anyway since we are back to more lectures, here're some things to do during boring lectures. anyone who dares to do any of the following will get a year's supply of coke from me! cheers~

1. When you take the maths lecture test, hire a security guard to stand by your seat and make sure no one tries to cheat off your paper.

2. Bring a loudspeaker. Use it when you ask or answer a question.

WHAT WE ARE DOING: Having brunch together, going to this boardgame cafe called Mind Cafe at Prinsep Street (opposite Paradiz Centre, opens at 2pm), maybe having dinner together again
WHAT TO BRING: Cash (more the merrier) and yourselves

You can leave your brains at home. (: The games at Mind Cafe are fun and don't really require that much thinking, trust me. (:

Yay! This is my first time blogging hoho! Pardon my singlish though haha! I shall summarize our class outing on 14th Nov at Sentosa x)

One nice day on 14th November we had our class outing at Sentosa Siloso beach! X) Luckily it was not very crowded so we are able to play whatever games we want heh Though I only reached there around 4+ but we had lots of fun haha. Firstly, we played "Monkey" and GB was chosen to be the permanent monkey haha then as the game proceed, those who couldn’t catch the ball had to be monkey la. Eventually the winner was Jeriel I think or was it Ruiyi haha! =x sorry I am old =x5 words: It was just exciting la!! Because some monkeys are damn anyhow! See the ball fly where they just chiong haha especially GB damn scared of him because I didn’t bring extra shirts haha! And he is damn wet and "sandy". Seriously when we reached the end of the game really anyhow liao haha!Ooh anyway mustn’t forget the ball! As we didn’t bring any balls to play so we bought a $5 yellow ball haha. It has 2 smiley faces some more, one is female and one is male because one smiley got flower then I assume is female hah! =x. Though it is small and light but cannot underestimate it ar! As it can be used for many games seriously lol.

While waiting for yeekai and jianyang arrival, me , Kenneth, Lyly and shijia played a lame game lol. We tried to use the ball to destroy one small sandcastle by kicking the ball at it from far see who kicking skill is good lols. And the winner is LYLY. But however in the end was destroyed by GB because he cheated as he didn’t use the ball. haha =xAfter that, we were all tempted to bury GB with sand again when we saw him lying on the beach =x so we started bury…......Tada!

A cartoon version lols we really put the umbrella which was found on the beach for decoration haha!

Ok emm then after that JY and YK arrived, after quenching our thirst and ate sum tidbits we decided to play a 6 v 6 VBALL! With the yellow ball lollsteam 1: me shijia Fuji jeriel GB Kennethteam 2: yeekai Lyly Olivia jianyang ruiyi karwengHAHA…we had our own special 06a13 way of playing VBAll by involving kicking of the ball =x as long as there are no consecutive 2 touch for a person. Even though the ball is out, you manage to save it still can continue that ball haha! The first game I really think that we are IMBA! Hahah as we were leading 10 points around there but when reaching the finishing point of 25, team 2 started catching up until 20+ however we were able to against all odds and we won ERM... Haha! (-.-") 2nd game lol is our turn being owned by them so we tried to change formation lol but in the end still the same still lose haha!3rd game was the MOST exciting one! Because we kept on ducing haha seriously exciting haha .We stick back to our usual position me, shijia and Fuji back and gb, jeriel and Kenneth front. For team 2, oli, yk and Lyly in front and ry, jy, kw at the back. Sum of us kicked to serve hah and seriously I think not bad =x and lalala we reached a score of 24 : 23 and hoho we won so….our final score is 2: 1 =DIn conclusion, I think all of us play till not bad and is damn fun la beach VBAll haha! =DThen we proceeded to Soccer! Only girls are able to score and the goalpost was damn big hah! Is like one straight line =x so for me I see ball I just anyhow la or pass to lyly =Dteam 1: me, Lyly, jy, jeriel, Kenneth and karwengteam 2: oli, Fuji, yk, shijia, GB and ruiyiHaha the soccer match was kinda hiong. Emm how to describe neh? See ball just run haha! But then we didn’t play long because it was already quite late and we were going to Vivocity for another highlight of the day!

Yay! X) Because 15th Nov is shijia birthday so we all decided to give her a surprise at Carl’s junior at vivo city haha. We started singing happy birthday song when karweng arrived with a chocolate cake which was bought by jay.Ar...seriously I think that we all sing too nice liao la haha as shijia was so touched that she cried abit haha x) Anyway shijia hope u like our surprise for u! =DOhh...Another highlight of the day will be Kenneth haha. He didn’t bring any clothes to change BUT less than 10 mins he was all wet and sandy then we all stunned haha. However, he managed to change his clothes by borrowing yeekai shirts haha.Hopefully all of us can make it for our next class outing =DThe end =D
